SpatialChat has flexible tools for you to moderate your event.
First you'd want to check SpatialChat roles comparison.
To fully moderate your event you must be logged in as admin. While in admin mode go to Menu Settings -> Room Permissions as shown below:
And check the Room Permissions modal window:
You can choose the room here to set different permissions for each room:
Use cases for your event
Panel discussion or keynote
In this scenario, it is advisable to turn OFF camera & microphone access in Room Permissions, and to assign the Host role to your speakers, which exempts them from the camera/microphone restrictions.
Removing attendees
If you need to manually remove an attendee, while in admin mode, hover your mouse on the person you wish to remove. This will bring up a context menu with two buttons — Mute and Admin. Click on the admin icon and choose "Remove User". You'll be asked to confirm your choice. Click "Remove User" to remove the attendee from the Space.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the service is anonymous, which means that anyone with the password can join. If you're removing the attendees and do not wish to allow them back into the event, it is advisable to change the Space password before or immediately after removing the person from your Space. Current attendees will not be affected.
Preparing your event in advance (for a poster session)
Customise your Space and use the "Pin image" and "Pin video" functions to set up all the necessary content in your space ahead of time, so that it's there when the event starts.
