New authorization process

You might have noticed a new login screen last time you entered SpatialChat.
It means now you can log in to the system and have a permanent account created, with all of your personal information, Teams, Spaces, Billing, and other cool stuff that you can view in your Personal Area 🏡

If you want to invite someone as a guest, here's how.

New authorization process

Creating a SpatialChat account allows you to create and share different Teams and Spaces with your guests. You can also be part of someone's Team under the same e-mail.
First, we need to know if you already have a space on SpatialChat or if you want to create one for yourself.

Yes, I have a space on SpatialChat.

No, I want to create a new one.

Creating a new Space

You can start using SpatialChat with a single click. Just tap the button "Start Meeting" on our landing page.

It will take you to a default SpatialChat space called "My Space." You can type your name, add a description and upload a photo avatar. This is your space now, or one of many.

Don't worry about losing your created space after ending the session - just log in, and we will attach it to your new account! To enjoy the benefits of your own free space, log in and verify your e-mail.

A verification code will be sent to your e-mail. It does not mean that you'll have to create a password. It means we have to verify your e-mail before giving you the attribute of Admin/user. The e-mail will look like this:

If you think you didn't receive your code, please check the SPAM box on your e-mail.
Whether you choose to paste the code or click on the magic link, this action will verify your e-mail and take you to your SpatialChat dashboard.

Authorization process: I already have an account / Space.

Go to https://spatial.chat

Since you already have a space, your e-mail is on our database, making the process simpler. Go to the "Log in" option.

How to invite someone as a guest, aka skipping the log in page

We love security and safety stuff, but sometimes you want to ask someone for a not-so-formal meeting or perhaps are worried that your guest might become confused on a login page. Thinking about that, we created the "?guest" parameter.

Simple and effective, you just need to add this tag at the end of your space URL. It will be as follows:

https://spatial.chat/s/yourspace/?guest

Let's try on my space "Wines of the word." This is what happens without the parameter:

And then adding /?guest at the end.

You can change the name and description as well. Otherwise, your username will be "YourSpace guest."

Guest link on Room URL

The "/?guest" parameter will also work on Room deep URL. So, if your current Room's link is

  https://spatial.chat/s/Yourspace?room=111111

the guest link will be

https://spatial.chat/s/spacename?room=111111&guest

Please note that the parameters were added with an "&," in-between, otherwise it won't work. Feel free to copy + paste with your space's info too.
