SpatialChat uses Twilio's video conferencing platform and WebRTC technology to allow for more participants in a call and improve stability. When you join a call, your video stream will be sent through our video router servers. These servers will transmit your stream to other participants in the call and also transmit their streams to you. All streams are encrypted with the AES-128 or AES-256 algorithm while in transit. However, they may be decrypted and re-encrypted when passing through the video routers. We have a global infrastructure of video router servers, and you will be automatically routed to the closest one. Our video router servers and infrastructure are designed with strict security measures to prevent eavesdropping and interruptions of video/audio streams.
